My view on Abortions…
In my opinion I believe abortion is an issue that should be a choice by and for women. Although abortion has been a serious issue in the past few years, and pro choice is something that stands in our country at the moment, there are people who are still against it. I have seen people standing protesting outside of abortion clinics harassing women who are only doing what they believe is right for them. Someone else should not have a say in what you can do with your own body, and your “future child”. With the election right around the corner, things have been mentioned about raped victims. Rape victims currently are provided with a free “rape kit” which included a morning after pill. For those who don’t know what the morning after pill is, its a pill that does not kill, but prevents the possibly of pregnancy which i’m sure in a lot of raped women would want. At least the majority in my opinion. The pill runs about Fifty dollars depending where you buy it. It was once only available by your doctor but it is now sold at major pharmacy’s every where. The pill is called “plan B” as I was saying with the election around the corner, John Mccains right hand man, or woman in this case is someone who is strongly against abortion, obviously look at just how many kids she has LOL. But any who if Mccain is elected into office she wants to make some changes. She proposes that the government will not provide rape kits for victims just so she can keep these women from preventing their pregnancies. Some people can’t afford a doctor visit, or a fifty dollar pill. She’s pushing her views onto victims and increasing the chances of these women to have a child of a rapist. Sarah Palin is from a town who was strongly against providing rape kits, and charged the women, and now she wants to spread this to all the states in the united states. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/09/21/palin.rape.exams/ This website states that it was the police department in Palins hometown that would charge the victims so they could diminish unreasonable costs in the budget, and some were fighting against it, but how could a single police department keep a policy for so long, and it wasn’t just her home town there were other cities as well. Sarah palin states that she would never do such a thing and that she supports women who are abused and raped but, who knows what the truth is.
