..Analyzing the Maxi..
This ad is for the Always Extra Heavy Overnight Maxi. In this advertisement logos, pathos and ethos are used, along with self-improvement, and need. The target audience for this product is females who have experienced their menstrual cycle. This is because males have no use for maxi pads because they do not have a menstrual cycle and females that have not experienced their period or has began menopause will not find this product useful. In this ad, there are many methods of persuasion used. Pathos was used by showing how peaceful someone can be without their pad leaking onto your clothes or the bed. It uses logos because everyone knows maxi pads are used to absorb menstrual flow and because the advertisement is saying that it has better protection and you can believe that by looking at how it is shaped. It uses ethos because Always pads have been around since 1983 and it is well-known and well-trusted company. The company Proctor and Gamble, the company who founded Always, is well reputable and was established in 1837, so their credibility is very reliable. the people who believe in brand loyalty and have been using this name brand, will most likely use this product as well. The ad states: “With more front-to-back coverage than any other pad, you get our best overnight protection ever. Sweet Dreams”, this is additional support of the persuasion and technique of self-improvement. Need is used because when a woman is on their period they look for the best protection that will help them while they are asleep because that is when most accidents occur.
The main aspect that helps this advertisement get their point across is how the pad looks like it is in a bed sleeping comfortably, this catches the eye of the person because of the analogy of a pad being able to sleep in a bed with a blanket, even considering the fact that it is comfortable, where pathos kicks in again. I believe that this advertisement will be effective because it shows how the product is shaped and it looks like it can provide you with protection during a period.

Nice post, Keneatra. I think your last paragraph is your best. Good points (looks familiar, too?).
